KOLKATA: West Bengal's greatest blood bank Maniktala Central Blood Bank is within the eye of a typhoon. It has been disclosed that previously six weeks, greater than 1500 devices of blood were thrown away. All these devices were way past expiry dates, with the incident creating a stir.
With people returning empty passed from blood banks even at times of dire need, the infuriated lot began raising difficult questions.
