Two hold passenger at gunpoint, flee with cab

GURUGRAM: Two armed robbers held a passenger at gunpoint and fled with the Swift Dzire he was travelling in, from close to Sirhaul toll plaza on Monday evening. Police have registered an FIR but no person has been arrested so far.
According to police, the complainant, Sunil Yadav, a resident of Khuskhera in Rajasthan, who also owned the cab, was on his method to Bhiwadi after selecting up a passenger from the IGI Airport round 9.30pm.

On achieving the MCD toll plaza, he parked the car on one aspect of the street and went to the toll booth to pay the tax, leaving the passenger in the car and maintaining the car’s ignition on.


“When I returned a couple of minutes later, the passenger was status on the street and the car was missing. The passenger informed me that two males threatened him at gunpoint and pulled him out of the car and fled with the car. Then I called police,” Yadav stated in the police record.


Acting on the criticism, an FIR has been registered against two unidentified males under segment 379-B (snatching & use of power) of the IPC and sections 25-54-59 of Arms Act at DLF 2 police station.


“We are investigating the topic and looking to identify the accused with the assistance of CCTV pictures of the world. However, there are not any clues yet,” mentioned ASI Jitender Kumar, the investigating officer.
