Man flees with rented SUV, booked two months later

GURUGRAM: A Bhiwani resident was booked on Wednesday for allegedly renting an SUV from a personal firm almost two months in the past and disappearing after that.
The accused has been known as Sandeep, a resident of Gujrani village in Bhiwani. On January 29, Sandeep allegedly rented a Mahindra XUV from PrimeMover Mobility Technologies Private Limited, which supplies automobiles on rent on an hourly, daily, weekly, and per 30 days foundation.

In a police grievance filed on Wednesday, Gaurav Sharma, operation head (north) of the firm, told law enforcement officials that a company driving force passed over the SUV to the accused at 10pm on January 29 close to Fortis sanatorium, Sector 44.


“At that time, Sandeep had submitted copies of his driving licence and Aadhaar card. According to the settlement made, the XUV was to returned on February 2. But when our officials tried to touch him at the mobile number he had given us, it was discovered to be switched off. When we tried to track the location of the car by the use of its GPS gadget, it was additionally discovered to be blocked,” the complainant stated.


On the root of the grievance, an FIR has been registered in opposition to Sandeep under Section 406 (felony breach of accept as true with) of IPC at Sushant Lok police station.


“The accused had given copies of his driving licence and Aadhaar card, but whether the details provided are genuine is being investigated. We have put his mobile number under surveillance and are looking to trace him. He might be arrested soon,” stated inspector Sudip Kumar, SHO of Sushant Lok police station.
