Mangaluru police, CCB sleuths bust gang of car thieves

MANGALURU: Sleuths of the City Crime Branch (CCB), in a joint operation with workforce of the Mulki police station on Thursday, busted a infamous gang of car thieves. A total four accused were arrested in this connection, together with the kingpin in a faux registration certificate (RC) racket. Police seized 5 automobiles valued at Rs 50 lakh from their ownership, city police leader T R Suresh said, adding the arrests were performed based on particular information about the gang’s presence in the Mulki police station limits.
