GREATER NOIDA: The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) on Tuesday threatened to cancel the allotment of 100 acres of land belonging to BSP chief Mayawati’s Bahujan Prerna Trust for non-payment of dues amounting to over Rs 110 crore.
According to YEIDA, the land was once at the beginning allotted to Real Estate Development Company in 2011 for institutional function in Sector 26B. The company, which first of all paid 10% (Rs nine.46 crore) in opposition to allotment price, transferred the land to Bahujan Prerna Trust two months later. But the agree with has still now not been in a position to pay the steadiness of Rs 112 crore.
“We will soon issue a last understand asking the land owner to pay up or face cancellation of allotment. In case of non-payment, we can issue orders for cancellation in the next few days,” Arunvir Singh, CEO of YEIDA, advised TOI. “In 2011, the allottee transferred the land to Bahujan Prerna Trust. But the agree with has now not constructed any construction on the floor but.”
This isn't the first time that YEIDA has raised the issue. “On April 6, 2017, we issued a understand to the agree with asking them to deposit the cash with YEIDA or face cancellation of plot allotment. A month prior to that still, we had issued a understand asking the agree with to pay up,” Singh said.
However, after the 2 notices final yr, the agree with had approached the Allahabad top courtroom for reprieve, claiming that YEIDA failed to offer them possession of the said land and hence no development could be performed.
“The courtroom had then stayed any cancellation of the allotment and instead directed the executive, institution of YEIDA, to cast off the petitioner’s representation. On Tuesday, we disposed of the topic. An investigation has revealed that 66,000 square metres of the 100 acres was once encroached and YEIDA could now not give possession of it to the allottee. But the allottee has failed to assemble any development on the rest of the land,” Singh defined.
The agree with’s in-charge in Delhi, Manish Kumar, could now not be contacted.
