Suspended BJP leader files complaint against news portal

MANGALURU: Suspended BJP chief R Srikar Prabhu, who plans to contest meeting election as an independent candidate, has filed a grievance with the election fee against a news portal.

Prabhu, who plans to contest from Mangaluru City South constituency, has alleged in his grievance that the news on him appeared on the web page is a ways from fact.

“When I'm making ready to contest election, the web page has printed baseless news document against me. The web page has made a baseless claim that I've been suspended from the BJP for making efforts to humiliate MP Nalin Kumar Kateel during 2014 Lok Sabha election. Further, the web page additionally has made some other baseless claim that I used to be a price ticket aspirant during 2013 meeting election. The editor of the news portal has no longer taken my opinion sooner than publishing such baseless document against me,” Prabhu stated in his grievance and asked the election fee to take appropriate action against the web page.
