Terrorists holed up in Pulwama house after failed weapon-snatching bid: J&K Police

SRINAGAR: Three terrorists had been believed to be holed up in a house in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday, after a failed bid to seize the weapon of the personal security officer (PSO) of a BJP chief, the police stated.
The terrorists attempted to seize the carrier rifle of constable Bilal Ahmad, who is the PSO of BJP chief Anwar Khan, at Balhama in Pulwama district, a police respectable stated.

He added that the police body of workers accompanying Khan foiled the attempt, all over which Ahmad received a bullet harm.

State Director General of Police (DGP) S P Vaid showed the incident, saying an operation was once happening to flush out the terrorists.


"Three terrorists are trapped in an undisclosed location and engaged in an exchange of fire after an unsuccessful attempt of weapon-snatching from the PSO of a protected person," he stated.



Ahmad was once rushed to a health facility, where his situation was once stated to be strong, a police respectable stated.


Another police body of workers was once reportedly injured in the exchange of fire with the terrorists, however officers did not verify it.
