CHENNAI: Leaders of political events in Tamil Nadu on Tuesday demanded action against senior BJP chief H Raja who tweeted previous in day that the statue of social reformer Periyar (EVR Ramasamy) in Tamil Nadu would be razed just like Communist revolutionary Vladimir Lenin’s statue was got rid of in Tripura on Monday.
Raja tweeted, “Who is Lenin and what's the connection between Lenin and India? What connection has India with Communists? Lenin's statue has been got rid of in Tripura. Today it's Lenin's statue in Tripura, day after today it is going to be the statue of caste fanatic EVR Ramasamy.”
However, the tweet disappeared from Raja’s respectable Twitter care for -- @HRajaBJP - after political events demanded action against him.

Parties that sought action against Raja included DMK, MDMK, Dravida Kazhagam CPM and CPI.
DMK operating president M Ok Stalin stated Raja must be arrested underneath the Goondas Act. MDMK leader Vaiko and Dravida Kazhagam chief Suba Veerapandian challenged Raja to touch a Periyar statue anywhere in Tamil Nadu.
