UP Rajya Sabha polls: I have voted for BJP, claims Mayawati's MLA

LUCKNOW: BSP MLA Anil Singh on Friday claimed that he had cross-voted in favour of the BJP within the Rajya Sabha polls + , announcing "I am with Maharaj-ji", referring to Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath.

Deputy chief of the BSP legislature party Uma Shankar Singh also mentioned he can't be sure that Anil Singh had voted for the BSP candidate Bhimrao Ambedkar.



The Unnao MLA's vote might be an important as it offers BJP the brink in getting a 9th Rajya Sabha seat from Uttar Pradesh. It is already confident of eight seats at the basis of its strength within the assembly.

Anil Singh mentioned he had solid his vote and showed it to BSP agent Lalji Verma and the remaining might be identified from him.

"I have cast my vote after showing it to Lalji Verma and he will tell you the details ... I am with Maharaj-ji (Adityanath)," he mentioned after vote casting on the Tilak Hall within the assembly advanced.
