COIMBATORE: “There is a lot of work to be done for the improvement of the state and you've got to work with me,” Makkal Needhi Maiam president Kamal Haasan advised his supporters at Avinashi in Tirupur district on Saturday.
“The birthday party cadre and supporters must work in the grass-root level to shape a better Tamil Nadu. We have our targets and we need to work in opposition to them,” the actor-turned-politician mentioned. He later met the co-ordinators and individuals of the combat committee for the Avinashi-Athikadavu Groundwater Recharge Scheme at Avinashi.
“We explained to him concerning the undertaking and our three-decade-long combat to put into effect it. Kamal Haasan has prolonged his fortify for the undertaking,” co-ordinator of the committee K Subramaniam mentioned.
Earlier, more than 500 supporters gave Kamal a grand welcome at the Coimbatore airport.
