After HC order, UPPSC mulls delaying PCS mains exam

ALLAHABAD: The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) is more likely to postpone the Provincial Civil Services (mains)-2017 examination for 2d time after a up to date Allahabad top courtroom order called for re-evaluation of solution sheets of the preliminary stage of tests. The PCS (mains) examination was scheduled to be held on May 17.

The fee has already postponed the examination twice when a CBI probe was ordered into the examinations, after discrepancies have been reported in the UPPSC examinations conducted throughout the Akhilesh Yadav-led state government throughout 2012-17.

The aspiring deputy creditors showing in the examination, officially known as ‘Combined State Upper Subordinate Services’, have to go through 3 selection stages—prelims, mains and interviews. On March 30, the top courtroom had directed the UPPSC to think again solution sheets of the preliminary stage of tests whilst listening to a bunch of petitions filed over flawed questions asked in the paper. The courtroom had said that only those aspirants can be allowed to appear in the PCS mains examination who qualify the re-evaluation. Secretary of UPPSC Jagdish said, “The re-evaluation and the declaration of results will take time so the examinations may well be deferred.”
