Allahabad Bank cuts lending rates by 0.45%

NEW DELHI: Public sector lender Allahabad Bank has diminished the bottom charge and benchmark high lending charge (BPLR) by 45 foundation issues each, a transfer that can decrease EMIs for its debtors.


"The Asset Liability Management Committee (ALCO) of the bank has decided to reduce base rate and BPLR (benchmark prime lending rate) by 45 basis points," the bank said in a regulatory filing lately.


Allahabad Bank has slashed base charge to nine.15 consistent with cent from nine.60 consistent with cent. BPLR has been brought down to 13.40 consistent with cent from 13.85 consistent with cent.


"The revised rates are effective from April 2," it added.
