Guwahati girl who had 'fled' from home found in Mumbai

MUMBAI: A minor girl, who had allegedly fled from her home in Assam, was found at the Kurla railway station here two days in the past.

The girl, resident of Guwahati, was spotted by means of Maharashtra Security Force (MSF) guard Anita Patil at the Kurla station on the evening of March 29, a railway police official stated.


As the woman regarded distressed and scared, Patil requested her where she had come from. When she could not give a enough reply, Patil took her to the Railway Protection Force (RPF) officials.


The girl printed that she had fled from her home in Guwahati, following which her family was contacted.


She was handed over to the Government Railway Police. She could be staying at a refuge home until her folks arrive and take her again, stated the official. DC KRK SDM
