Massive fire breaks out at Hyderabad zoo

HYDERABAD: About two acres of land was once gutted in a significant hearth that broke out in the open space of Nehru Zoological Park on Monday morning.
According to fireplace officers, a group from Chandulal Baradari hearth station answered to the emergency name from the zoo at 10.45 am.


It took around two hours for the fireplace tenders to douse the flames of the fireplace that diminished the grass and a number of other bushes to ashes.


“The hearth caused damage to about two acres of land in the zoo. Once we were given details about it, we rushed to the spot and tried to douse the fireplace. But, the strong winds caused it to unfold along open land and therefore it took us nearly two hours to position out the fireplace utterly,” Srinivas Reddy, District Fire Officer for Hyderabad said.


Although the fireplace officers suspect that the fireplace was once caused because of negligent smoking, preliminary reports additionally instructed that the fireplace could have occured because of burning of dry grass and different waste inside the zoo premises.


The reasons at the back of the fireplace mishap are yet to be ascertained, hearth division officers said.
