Mercury soars to 41 degrees celsius in 7 towns

AHMEDABAD: As dry and scorching northwesterly to northerly winds prevailed over the state, excessive weather stipulations have been felt throughout Gujarat with mercury capturing up to 41°C in seven the town on Sunday. Ahmedabad city too reeled underneath serious warmth at nearly 41° C.

Highest temperature used to be recorded at Kandla airport where most temperature registered at 42.7 degrees celsius. Surendranagar the town in Saurashtra region adopted Kandla airport, and most temperature recorded at 42.three degrees celsius on Sunday.

Ahmedabad city on Sunday recorded 40.8° C most temperature, three.2 degrees above the standard and the minimum temperature, recorded at 20.3C, used to be 1.1 stage above the standard. Denizens felt dry warmth as humidity level ranged between 36% and 12% on Sunday.


City roads wore a deserted look as few automobiles have been on highway on Sunday. During the afternoon, citizens most popular to stick indoors. Even all the way through the evening, no respite used to be there from warmth.


According to India Meteorological Department (IMD), most temperature of the town will continue to stay above 40°C in coming days.


IMD remark stated that warmth wave stipulations prevailed in some portions of north Gujarat region, Saurashtra and Kutch on Sunday. Some portions of Saurashtra including Rajkot, Surendranagar and Amreli districts witnessed serious warmth waves on Sunday. The similar weather stipulations are all more likely to be triumphant within the state on Monday.
