BHUBANESWAR: The Odisha government on Tuesday mentioned 1.07 lakh homesteadless households had been provided with area websites in rural spaces within the final 4 years.
Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Maheswar Mohanty mentioned the state government had known 1.10 lakh homesteadless households throughout a survey in 2015.
"The balance 2,837 families will be provided with house sites by August 31 this year," he added.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday reviewed the performance of the Revenue Department right here.
He mentioned the department has taken steps to conduct a fresh survey from May 15 to June 15 to identify homesteadless households for distribution of sites.
The minister mentioned Disaster Resilient Houses had been supplied to 16,568 cyclone Phailin affected households in Ganjam and Khurda districts whilst 879 Multi-Purpose Cyclone/Flood Shelters had been built at inclined places within the state.
Besides, Advanced Disaster Warning Systems had been set up at 162 places in 22 blocks of six coastal districts, Mohanty mentioned.
