3 NEET aspirants scale gates, barred from exam

BENGALURU: Four scholars had been barred from taking the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) exam on the Army Public School, Kamraj Road centre on Sunday, when they arrived after gates closed at 9.30am. While one scholar was turned back on the gate, three scholars who scaled the gate had been shooed away via police on security responsibility on the centre.
Drama erupted when a woman from Hassan district, who arrived three mins past the reporting closing date, climbed over the gate with assistance from her folks. She was caught via police and sent out of the centre.

However, that did not deter two others — a boy from Hassan district and a woman aspirant from Anekal — who had been also past due via three mins, from vaulting the gate. They too had been helped over via frightened folks, but both had been barred from taking the exam. The fourth candidate — a woman from Bengaluru — was no longer allowed to go into once they arrived past due.

The CBSE had set a reporting time between 7:30am and 9:30am, a agenda that was communicated to scholars and displayed at the site. The folks stated that they'd gotten caught up in visitors from the railway station to the centre. Other folks, who had been locals, also complained of dense visitors around Shivajinagar and Commercial Street.

Elsewhere, a couple of girls had been requested to remove the niqab they had been carrying prior to taking the exam. Hina (title modified) revealed she was frisked on the Kendriya Vidyalaya School centre on Victoria Road, but was ultimately allowed to take a seat for the exam.

“Administrative staffs, who had been checking scholars prior to they entered the corridor, requested me to remove my niqab and hijab,” Hina stated. “I insisted on wearing them so they checked me and let me put on them.”

Like Hina, Mubarak Satiqa (title modified), whose took the exam at Kendriya Vidyalaya School, Malleswaram, was also requested to remove her hijab, but ultimately sat for the exam after being frisked. “Even the guards out of doors the centre stopped me, but I was made up our minds to put on it,” she stated.

Students on the Malleswaram centre concurred that checking was strict. Some invigilators even checked the ears of scholars with a torch as a precaution against malpractice.
