MUMBAI: Construction of just about 50% of piers for the 18.6 km-long Metro 2A increased hall between DN Nagar and Dahisar by way of Link Road has been completed, an MMRDA legit said.
“Nearly 481 of the entire 957 piers have already been solid. Moreover, paintings is in development on development of all 17 stations,” said an legit of Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA).
Kasturi Park in Malad would be the first station on the increased hall to be able.
The legit said, “We goal to finish the civil works by December 2018 or January 2019. There may be a lengthen of 2 to three months if there are any hurdles.”
The MMRDA has set a target of 2019 for the challenge, however lengthen in rolling stock procurement due to negotiations over mortgage and a few issues with civil works lead to the hall being commissioned in 2020. Work on this hall commenced in 2016. The legit said 95% of soil investigation paintings and 87% of utility works have also been completed.
Out of the 1430 girders to be laid, 513 have been solid (36%) and 363 erected (25%). MMRDA has invited bids for rolling stock (trains) after approval of mortgage from Asian Development Bank and New Development Bank. In April, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, which is imposing the challenge, invited bids for the laying of the tracks. The paintings is expected to be completed by December.
