6 held for stealing Rs 50 lakh cash, gold from contractor’s house

HYDERABAD: Six members of a housebreaking gang, which stole ?50 lakh money and 20 tolas gold from a contractor’s space at Rajendrangar, were held from Doma in Vikarabad district on Thursday. Police recovered ?42.eight lakh stolen money from their possession.


Cyberabad police arrested Mohammed Muqtar alias Chotu, 24, B Yadaiah alias Yadagiri, 23, Sk Amjad, 21, Sk Jahangir, 24, MVenkatesh alias Venki, 21, and M Mahesh, 21, of Doma village. Muqtar used to be operating as automobile driving force for personal contractor Sanjeeva Reddy alias Raja Reddy. Muqtar spotted that his employer helps to keep a vital amount of cash at home for industry transactions and determined to steal it.


In April first week, Muqtar mentioned his plan with B Yadagiri and Sk Amjad and instructed the duo that his employer would go away the town for every week to wait a marriage in Nandyal. On April 13, Muqtar showed Yadagiri his employer’s space. While leaving for Nandyal with Sanjeeva Reddy’s family on April 15, he alerted his associates, Cyberabad commissioner VC Sajjanar mentioned.


On April 16, Yadagiri and Amjad went to Reddy’s space and won entry into the building via eliminating a window grill.Yadagiri and Amjad took ?13 lakh every, whilst Jahangir took ?14 lakh from the stolen amount. Muqtar’s proportion, ?10 lakh, used to be stored with Yadagiri. The gold used to be break up between Yadagiri and Amjad. Police wondered all the employees of Sanjeeva Reddy on suspicion and Muqtar confessed to his crime.
