NEW DELHI: Burglars broke into the reliable place of dwelling of All India Trinamool Congress MP Satabdi Roy at Pandara Road in Lutyens’ Delhi and decamped with money, foreign currencies and jewellery.
The incident took place on Saturday night time when Roy used to be not present in the house and the caretaker had long past to Haridwar, said a senior police officer.
Initial probe published that the criminals entered the house by breaking the steel grilles on the window. The caretaker, who returned on Monday morning, discovered the almirah damaged and items strewn around in the room.
A case of trespassing and housebreaking has been registered. The caretaker is being puzzled for extra main points, said a cop.
