Businessman dupes bank of Rs 40 lakh, escapes abroad

COIMBATORE: The city crime department police have registered a case against a businessman, who allegedly duped a public sector financial institution of Rs 40 lakh and escaped to Gulf countries.

“We will factor a lookout realize to all of the airports across the country to detain him, if he enters any a part of the country,” a police officer mentioned.


The police mentioned the businessman had taken the loan from the Ram Nagar department of Indian Bank in 2017 with a promise to pay off the same in 90 days.


In his complaint, S Kanaga, assistant common supervisor, Indian Bank, Ram Nagar department, on Saturday mentioned Anandakrishna, director of Right Lines Enterprises, Avinashi Road, had taken a loan of Rs 40 lakh on July 18, 201,7 to develop his business. “He confident the financial institution that he would pay off the loan in 90 days. When the financial institution approached him after 90 days, he spoke back that he could not pay off the amount and went abroad,” the pliant read.


Preliminary investigation published that he had escaped to a couple Gulf countries. Anandakrishna, an investigation officer mentioned, used to import family home equipment and sell them across the state.
