NEW DELHI: An armed robber attacked a businessman and took his automobile close to the Chirag Dilli intersection on Saturday night. According to the police, the incident took place on round 11.45pm when the complainant, Dhrist Dyumn Singh (47), was travelling from Green Park to Sheikh Sarai in his Swift Dzire.

In his grievance, Singh told cops that he had stopped on the site visitors signal underneath the Chirag Dilli flyover when a man approached him with a knife. “The accused opened the door on my side and tried taking the automobile’s key however I grabbed his hand in a bid to forestall him,” Singh mentioned. As he resisted, the miscreant threatened him with the knife.


The robber asked Singh not to make any noise and come out of his automobile in an instant. As he did so, the accused sat on the driving force’s seat and fled in opposition to Moolchand. Singh’s pockets and contact were also within the automobile.


The businessman later took a passerby’s cell phone and knowledgeable the police in regards to the incident. Subsequently, an FIR under IPC sections of theft was registered against the accused.


Cops are scanning the CCTV pictures from the realm to spot the accused. A initial probe has printed that the accused is in his early 20s and was wearing a blue blouse on the time of the incident.
