Mangaluru: Personnel of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) on accountability at Mangaluru International Airport, right through a random test of passengers at the departure entry gate, detected 10-kg of marijuana in the ownership of a Doha-bound passenger on Friday. The passenger had hid the marijuana inside 3 pumpkins. He was once scheduled to go away on board the flight to Doha at 5.35pm and was once nabbed 80 mins prior, at the gate.
Sources informed TOI that the accused is Kalai Tasleem, who hails from Kalai, who was once scheduled to board an Air India flight. “Tasleem was once carrying the marijuana for his consumers in another country,” the sources stated, adding the estimated value of the ganja seized is Rs 1.5 lakh. The accused was once handed over to the Customs for further action, the sources added.
