Delhi: Expect some relief from heat today

NEW DELHI: The sultry stipulations within the capital persevered on Sunday with some other day of ‘heatwave’ recorded where the maximum temperature was once 4-Five levels above commonplace.


The maximum temperature at Safdarjung was once recorded at 44.2° Celsius, while it was once 45.8° Celsius at Palam — 5 notches above commonplace for the season. The met administrative center, alternatively, said a drop in temperatures is likely to start from Monday with gentle rain forecast for Wednesday.


Kuldeep Srivastava, scientist on the regional met administrative center in Delhi, said the drop in mercury is anticipated because of easterly winds bringing moisture to Delhi. “Heatwave situation is anticipated to subside from the following day with the maximum temperature losing to 43 levels on Monday or even additional on Wednesday because of gentle rain,” said Srivastava.


Met administrative center said a drizzle could take place on Tuesday night, while thunderstorm and lightweight rain is anticipated on Wednesday.
