Karnataka Congress MLA dies in road accident

BENGALURU: Newly-elected Congress MLA Siddu B Nyamagouda died in a road coincidence early Monday morning, police mentioned.

The Jamkhandi MLA used to be on his manner from Goa to his home district Bagalkot when the automobile during which he used to be touring in hit a truck close to Tulasigeri.

Police assets mentioned the critically injured MLA used to be taken to a health center, but declared introduced useless.

The 70-year-old lawmaker used to be in New Delhi and had returned to Goa by flight before he proceeded to his constituency by automotive.

Nyamagouda used to be re-elected from Jamkhandi in Bagalkot district by defeating his nearest BJP rival Shrikanth Subbarao Kulkarni by over 2,500 votes.



The ultimate rites of the leader are expected to be attended by senior leaders.


He is survived by spouse, two sons and three daughters.


Nyamagouda used to be the union minister within the P V Narasimha Rao ministry in 1990-91.
