Fire in shop in Mumbai; no casualty

MUMBAI: A fireplace broke out in a store at Gupta Market at the back of MM lodge at Malad railway station around 7 AM on Tuesday morning, however no one was reported injured.

Three hearth engines, four water tankers and one ambulance had been rushed to the spot to douse the flames. According to fireplace brigade officials, the flames spread accross an area of 5,000 sq.feet accross quite a lot of stores.

Civic officials stated that it was a flooring plus one storey construction.


No casualty has been reported to this point in the incident.


This is the second one main hearth incident in the town since Sunday. On May 27, a hearth errupted in a commercial complex at Goregaon during which five folks died whilst nine others had been injured. The fifth body was found on Tuesday morning, stated officials.
