BENGALURU: The Karnataka high court docket has upheld the life sentence awarded through an ordeal court docket to a watcher in wooded area department, who had allegedly killed his wife for no longer bringing Rs 10,000 from her father that he needed to get an enduring posting.

The prosecution case used to be that on November 22, 2010, Thungotappa, the daddy of the deceased Vanajakshi had lodged criticism with Madhugiri police station pronouncing that his son-in-law had telephoned him at 4.30pm the previous day pronouncing that his wife Vanajakshi had dedicated suicide .
According to him, after receiving this information, when he reached his daughter’s matrimonial home at Hosahali at about 5.30pm, his son-in regulation Ramakrishna used to be no longer there and there were little abrasions on the left facet of the neck of body of his daughter which used to be striking within the kitchen.
He had further instructed the police that on November 13, his daughter, a mother of 2 youngsters Majunatha (5) and Indusree (1 and half years), had come to his house after her husband bodily burdened her to carry Rs 10,000. He had suggested her to return and persuade her husband that the amount might be adjusted in 10-15 days’ time.
Thungotappa had further claimed that on the time of his daughter’s marriage, Rs 10,000 money, 10 gms gold chain, a couple of ear studs and a couple of hangings were given except for incurring on marriage expenditure.
