Kalkaji-Janakpuri West Metro section by mid-May

NEW DELHI: The eagerly awaited Kalkaji Mandir to Janakpuri West section of Delhi Metro’s Magenta Line is now prone to open by way of mid-May.

The Commissioner for Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) will inspect the 25.6-km-long section from May eight to 10, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said. Once the section will get the safety go-ahead from CMRS, DMRC would be able to open the section to public.

The first 12.6-km-long section of the Magenta Line between Botanical Garden in Noida and Kalkaji Mandir used to be inaugurated in December ultimate yr. The Kalkaji Mandir to Janakpuri West section of Magenta Line has 16 stations, together with two interchange stations – Hauz Khas (with Yellow Line) and Janakpuri West (with Blue Line).
