ALLAHABAD: Seeking to provide benefits of digitalisation of healthcare to the populace, the district well being department plans on putting in place e-urban Primary Health Centres (PHCs) for those underneath poverty line (BPL) in urban spaces of the city.
The first e-UPHC was arrange in Allahabad about six months back on a pilot basis and buoyed via its success the dept plans on putting in place 5 new centres at Daraganj, Rajruppur, Guasnagar, Govindpur and Kareli.
Additional CMO Dr Anil Kumar, stated, “The e-UPHC is said to be the primary of its kind initiative to offering advantages of digitalisation of healthcare. The step will permit the poor to access specialists through telemedicine and diagnostics.”
The department has roped in a Hyderabad-based healthcare to lend a hand it arrange the e-urban PHCs. Kumar stated the primary e-UPHC could be operational from first week of June.
“The e-UPHCs use generation to provide session through telemedicine for choose specialities and would supply lab tests and primary healthcare products and services to the poor through common practitioner and paramedics.”
With one-third of the inhabitants residing in urban spaces, the e-UPHCs was drafted via the state well being department to provide complex healthcare products and services to BPL electorate.
“Under the National Urban Health Mission, a complete of 22 urban PHCs are currently operational in Allahabad’s urban pockets.
