NEW DELHI: With the Karnataka assembly polls out of the way in which, the Centre in spite of everything met the much deferred deadline and submitted the draft Cauvery scheme to the Supreme Court on Monday for implementing the court docket's February 16 judgment allocating river water to Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Puducherry.

A bench of CJI Dipak Misra and Justices A M Khanwilkar and D Y Chandrachud on Monday stated the court docket would now not cross into some other spherical of litigation over the legality of Cauvery scheme framed by the Centre. "We will only examine whether the scheme is in conformity with our judgment or not," the CJI stated. The bench invited views from the four states and posted the subject for listening to on Thursday.
