BENGALURU: The city’s notorious visitors jams actually halted Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati in her tracks, but she hit the road with gusto and walked for almost part a kilometre to make it in time for HD Kumaraswamy’s swearing-in rite in entrance of Vidhana Sabha past due Wednesday afternoon.

The convoy of the former Uttar Pradesh leader minister, who was once on her strategy to Vidhana Sabha from Shangri La on Palace Road, had to stop after it ran into an enormous visitors jam at Chalukya Hotel, Basaveshwara Circle, said visitors police.

As police and her safety body of workers have been wondering what to do, Mayawati promptly hit the D Devaraj Urs Road that hyperlinks Basaveshwara Circle and Vidhana Soudha. Mayawati briskly walked up till Vidhana Sabha.

The convoys of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi have been stuck near Anil Kumble Circle. “Gandhis left Hilton Hotel on Old Airport Road and reached MG Road in lower than 15 mins. But they took greater than 15 mins to reach the Vidhana Sabha gate,” said visitors law enforcement officials.


There was once an enormous pile-up on Raj Bhavan Road, Palace Road, Race Course Road, KR Circle, Kasturba Road, Vittal Mallya Road, Richmond Circle and JC Road. BMTC buses heading out of Shivajinagar bus terminal have been also stranded in the visitors.


Around 3.30 pm, an enormous tree on Vittal Mallya Road fell, bringing the visitors to a standstill. Officials from fire and emergency services and products cleared the tree and the visitors began moving by way of round four pm.
