Missing techie’s wife gets Rs 15 lakh ransom call

GHAZIABAD: A ransom of Rs 15 lakh has allegedly been sought from the wife of an IT engineer, who had long gone missing from ALT crossing at the evening of May 23. The 35-year-old engineer was once running with a device major in Ghaziabad. A police group, together with a circle officer has been rushed to Haridwar, the place of origin of the engineer, stated assets.

According to the police, the engineer, a resident of Nandgram’s Radhakunj, hired a cab from his administrative center in Sector 126 around 11pm and got down at ALT crossing around 12.30am to board a bus to Haridwar at the evening of May 23. He was once going home to have a good time his 35th birthday together with his circle of relatives. His wife and two kids had left for Haridwar a few days ago. However, quickly after you have off from the cab, he became untraceable as his cell phone was once switched off.


On Thursday morning, the engineer’s brother-in-law, a resident of Patel Nagar, filed a missing criticism at Sihani Gate police station. Later, around 10.50pm, the engineer’s wife gained a message from her husband’s cell quantity which read that she needed to deposit Rs 15 lakh if she sought after to loose her husband.


Police tried to locate the engineer’s location via going through the pictures of the CCTV cameras put in within the house from where he needed to board the bus. However, it's still not transparent whether or not the engineer boarded the bus to Haridwar or not.


The police department in addition to the engineer’s circle of relatives are tight-lipped about all of the incident. The case is being treated with warning to ensure the safety of engineer. Several groups are simultaneously running to locate the engineer, stated a senior police officer.
