BHUBANESWAR: A threat name to the Biju Patnaik International Airport on Thursday, two days ahead of the coming of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, despatched police and Special Operation Group (SPG) team of workers right into a tizzy.
Airport director Suresh Chandra Hota mentioned, "A person, who identified himself as Parida of Khandagiri area in Bhubaneswar, repeatedly called up his office's landline number and hurled abuses at the airport officials. We received the call from 7873605933. He directed us to book a flight ticket over the phone. He even inquired whether he could smuggle drugs and ganja into the plane. We suspect that the caller was drunk."
However, the call grew to become out to be a hoax later. Police ruled out any threat, either to the airport or the PM, after an intensive investigation. An airport professional mentioned the caller threatened to blow up the airport if his price ticket was once no longer booked right away.
Police known the caller and mentioned he was once previous arrested on fees of creating hoax calls to police regulate room in Bhubaneswar. However, he's at the run.
