Newly-elected Vishwa Hindu Parishad world running president Alok Kumar tells Akhilesh Singh that he is no longer in favour of any overhaul of the Constitution. Excerpts from an interview:
You and other office-bearers visited Ayodhya not too long ago. How can VHP be so confident a couple of temple bobbing up while the case remains to be pending in courtroom?

There must be education and financial democracy, promising prosperity and dignified existence to every particular person, basically SCs/STs. We believe that reservations must proceed. The Constitution has served us well and there is no requirement of its overhaul. We strongly believe establishment ante of the SC/ST Act must be restored.
What are your perspectives on the term ‘Hindu terror’?
I've a problem with the media and a piece of politicians When a lodge was once bombed in Mumbai, the entire press stated it was once jihadi activity. You recommended that the perpetrators be punished however one community can’t be blamed. But when some difficult to understand outfit disturbs a pair in a pub, you proclaim it a Hindutva act. When Kalburgi and Pansare were killed, the probe did not turn out any RSS/VHP member’s role. However, the unfortunate bracketing has adversely affected our symbol.
What are your perspectives about Kathua rape and homicide?
Rape or some other crime against girls and kids is bad and must be critically condemned. There is not any query of protecting the accused. However, there was once a demand for a CBI inquiry and it is unfair to interpret the call for as enhance to the rapists.
