Seven killed in bus-truck collision in Telangana

KARIMNAGAR: Seven persons, including two women, had been killed while 14 others had been injured when the government bus they had been travelling in collided with a truck at Chengerla village within the district on Tuesday, police mentioned.
The incident occured when the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation bus was continuing to Karimnagar from Warangal, at about 9 AM, they mentioned.

When the vehicle reached Chengerla village, a truck coming in the other way rammed into it, Karimnagar Rural Assistant Commissioner of Police Usha Rani mentioned.


Six other folks including two women had been killed on the spot, while 15 others including the driver of the truck had been shifted to quite a lot of hospitals in Karimnagar the city, she mentioned.


The situation of 4 injured is said to be crucial.


Efforts are on to determine the identity of the deceased, police mentioned.


Expressing grief over the mishap, Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao asked the officials to ensure better hospital therapy to the sufferers, a unencumber from his place of job mentioned.
