CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu chief minister Edappadi Okay Palaniswami on Friday introduced Rs 1,000 each to clinical aspirants who have to travel to different states to appear for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). Besides, the clinical aspirant and an individual accompanying him or her are entitled to get travel allowance identical to 2nd magnificence educate ticket fare.
In a observation, the manager minister mentioned he had come to know -- through media reviews -- about the difficulties confronted by some scholars appearing for the aggressive exam in different states.


“I have ordered travel allowance identical to 2nd magnificence educate ticket fare to the coed and an accompanying individual, (and identical to these travelling by bus), and Rs 1,000 money in opposition to different expenses,” he mentioned.


The scholars can get the advance payment from the district tutorial officers through college heads or can avail the amount upon producing the travel documents. Those who received advance payment will have to produce the documents to the district tutorial officer after their return.
