HYDERABAD: The Telangana government on Friday mentioned it will supply existence insurance coverage cover to all farmers in the state for Rs five lakh every.
The scheme would get underway from August 15 this year, Chief Minister Ok Chandrasekhar Rao mentioned after chairing a gathering with ministers and officers on the insurance coverage scheme, a release from his administrative center mentioned.
The entire premium, no matter could be the overall quantity, can be paid via the federal government, it mentioned.
He mentioned funds required for the purpose can be budgeted and the overall premium quantity credited to the implementing company, the Life Insurance Corporation, via the primary of August yearly.
The insured quantity of Rs five lakh will have to be paid to the nominee proposed via the insured farmer inside 10 days of the claim, "irrespective of the reason due to which a farmer dies, including natural death," the release added.
A separate release from the Chief Minister's administrative center mentioned the state cupboard would meet on May 27 to discuss the new insurance coverage scheme for farmers and also the proposed zonal gadget for government employment.
