AHMEDABAD: In an in depth drive towards touts via Central Railway, it was famous that a few unauthorised softwares are running in case of e-tickets which permit the unauthorised agents to avoid the normal queue and thus get advantages them to seek showed reservation through those unlawful means.
A malicious Software was being used for this function and its major operator could be positioned through source knowledge. Vigorous surveillance was saved, further knowledge in this regard was accumulated, verified, and the person behind this tool was recognized. A joint motion was deliberate via Vigilance, RPF, IRCTC and Mumbai Division's Commercial branch to nab the operator.
Accordingly a preventive take a look at was performed on 02.05.2018 via Vigilance workforce together with RPF Crime Intelligence Branch/PNVL & Anti Tout Squad CSMT at Oshiwara, Jogeshwari West, Mumbai. A case was registered towards him at RPF/Byculla vide CR no.450/2018, U/S 143 of Railways Act.
Further on 03.05.2018, the tool server and device was deeply screened and 6603 PNRs with tickets amounting to Rs.1,47,14,850/- were detected. These PNRs were seized in the PRS device.
Further investigation is being finished to identify different individuals behind this tool and to know their modus operandi.
The names of passengers whose tickets were seized is not going to appear in the chart after chart preparation.
Central Railway appeal to the passengers to buy tickets from IRCTC site, Reservation Offices at railway stations and authorized assets simplest to avoid unsightly journey and forfeiting of tickets.
