ALLAHABAD: Faced with repeated instances of injuries on unmanned degree crossings, government of North Central Railways (NCR) have introduced a cell video van, on Saturday.
The van, fitted with 55-inch LED display, would be used for growing public consciousness about safety precautions at degree crossings. NCR GM M C Chauhan flagged off the van which might go back and forth in various sections under NCR.
PRO Amit Malviya said that this van would go back and forth to railway crossings, schools, markets, gram sabha etc. coming under NCR territory.
While flagging off this promotional automobile, the GM said that this medium is "very useful for educating the public about the safety and security issues as we convey our message directly to the masses using audio-visual medium during the campaign".
