Tirupur: Allegedly dissatisfied over his father’s drinking habit, a 14-year-old boy has committed suicide via placing from the ceiling of his grandmother’s area at Arumaikarar Thottam at 15 Velampalayam here on Thursday.
Preliminary investigations printed that the deceased used to incessantly complain to his pals that his father used to quarrel with the family members in an inebriated state.
The deceased was identified as Hariharan, son of P Prakash and Devi couple from Arumaikarar Thottam at 15 Velampalayam. He was a Class IX scholar. His parents are day-to-day wagers.
According to the police, the boy was staying at his grandmother Chinthamani’s area, which was within the neighbourhood. He was discovered placing from the ceiling of the home on Thursday morning.
During the inquiry, his father said Hariharan, who had gave the impression for Class IX board checks, was in doubt about clearing all of the papers and this may have forced him to take the intense step.
The police, alternatively, suspect that the boy may have ended his life due to his father’s drug addiction. “We didn't to find any suicide observe,” they said.
The 15 Velampalayam police have registered a case and further investigations are on.
