AHMEDABAD: Four individuals had been held from Chandkheda area in Ahmedabad with demonetised foreign money notes with a face price of Rs 99.99 lakh, police stated on Sunday.
A Chandkheda police station respectable stated that 12,800 demonetised notes of Rs 500 denomination and 3,599 scrapped notes of Rs 1000 denomination, totalling Rs 99.99 lakh, had been seized from Manjula Barot, Malhar Purohit, Rajesh Parmar and Gopal Pandey.
All four are native residents and had been nabbed from close to a mall at Chandkheda crossroad yesterday night, the respectable stated.
Primary investigations have revealed that they had been taking a look to interchange it for a commission, he stated.
A case were registered and extra investigations had been underway, he added.
