GURUGRAM: A six-year-old boy drowned to death in Bajghera village pond on Friday.
According to the police, Vikas had long gone to the pond with a chum to take bathtub round 1.30pm. On seeing round 15 buffaloes on the other facet of the pond, the boy got excited and attempted to swim towards them. While doing so, he started drowning. His friend noticed this and rushed out of the pond to call for help. He ran to Vikas’s home and informed his folks, who reached the pond in an instant. As they might now not to find Vikas, they informed police and hearth brigade.
It took the rescuers round two hours to locate the body and fish it out of the pond.
Pappu Shah, Vikas’s father, told law enforcement officials that Vikas used to love going for a swim at the pond. They had warned him earlier not to move deep inside the pond and Vikas had obeyed them all the time. But on Friday, Vikas swam to the deeper facet and couldn’t save himself. “Vikas was the youngest amongst my 4 youngsters. He was very obedient. Don’t know why he attempted to swim deep into the pond on Friday,” a teary-eyed Shah mentioned.
Shah told law enforcement officials that he and his spouse worked as housekeeping body of workers in a private corporate and had 4 youngsters, including Vikas, two sons and one daughter.
“We handed over the body to the relations after postmortem. No case was registered as this was an unintended death,” mentioned ASI Kanwar Singh of Bajghera police station.
“After getting data, our team reached the spot divers however till then an hour had passed for the reason that boy drowned,” mentioned Dinesh Sharma, assistant hearth officer of Bhim Nagar hearth station.
