GUWAHATI: The Asom Gana Parishad (AGP), a BJP ally in Assam, determined to transport a answer in opposition to the Centre's proposed Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016, at a special cupboard meeting convened via chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal. AGP has 3 ministers in the cupboard and inner department over its answer would signal bother for the ruling alliance of BJP, AGP and Bodoland People's Front (BPF).
Should AGP go away the alliance, the BJP-BPF coalition would continue to exist, however with 73 contributors in opposition to 87 with AGP, in the 126-member assembly.
