Air India set to have 'Maharaja' class seats on international flights

NEW DELHI: Passengers on most of Air India's international flights are all set for a new experience because the airline will quickly introduce 'Maharaja' industry class seats, variety cuisines and new uniforms for workforce, officers mentioned.

The revamped services might be unveiled on June 22, which would also come on an eventful week when the federal government decided to place the breaks, for now, at the disinvestment plans for the loss-making carrier.

"The airline would launch a revamped Maharaja business class," Minister of State for Civil Aviation Jayant Sinha informed journalists right here.

The existing top notch and industry class seats on its Boeing 777 and 787 airplane fleet can be revamped for the Maharaja industry class seats. These planes perform brief and lengthy haul international routes.
