‘Ashtavakra‘ being the primary Marathi film to be shot on the Kolhapur Central Jail not too long ago hosted a primere for the inmates of the jail. Before the movies reliable release the makers of the film made up our minds to do something particular for the inmates. Writer- director Pradeep Salunke organised the premiere of this film on the Kolhapur Central jail in presence of jail superintendent Sharad Shelke, Police Chief (Women’s Wing) and 63 Women prisoners.
The film portrays nexus between machine and criminals. The film questions whether these persons are criminals by means of start and who brings them to this felony world? All these and an identical sides are going to be unfolded in the course of the film. The film was moulded after Pradeep Salunke learn something in regards to the women prisoners and their kids. To make this film extra life like he met these kids, whose mothers have been present process jail sentence and was really shocked.
