CEO Tandon assures residents interest in Noida stadium

NOIDA: With speculations rising among residents on Noida authority making an attempt to privatise Noida stadium in sector 21A for revenue technology, Federation of Noida Residents Welfare Associations’ (FONRWA) president N P Singh met authority CEO Alok Tandon in Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) workplace on Thursday on the matter and recommended Tandon to take residents’ passion into consideration before finalising anything. Earlier too on May 24 (and reported by way of TOI), FONRWA had written to CEO Tandon on the matter with identical issues.
In Thursday’s assembly Tandon assured Singh that not anything is finalised on the matter as only perspectives are sought from sports activities consulting businesses on tips on how to deal with it better with request for proposals (RFP).


“I met CEO Alok Tandon in GNIDA workplace today (Thursday) as there have been many queries from residents over news of authority mulling to privatise Noida stadium. I raised the residents’ concern and recommended him to make sure that stadium facilities should not be charged at any additional cost for the residents of town,” N P Singh, president FONRWA told TOI.


RWA federation had also written to CEO Alok Tandon (as reported previous on May 24) in opposition to any move to privatise Noida stadium by the use of hiring a non-public company to take over the maintenance of Noida stadium. The RWA frame had recommended Tandon to prioritise the interests of residents who will have to shell out more as a way to use the facilities of the stadium.


While CEO Tandon assured Singh that not anything is finalised yet as authority has only requested perspectives and requests for proposals (RFPs) from sports activities businesses on tips on how to deal with the stadium better, he mentioned that “there will probably be no loss for the average people of Noida as no tax or additional rate will probably be levied from them,” mentioned Tandon.


Meanwhile ACEO R Ok Mishra told TOI that whilst authority mulls to hire a sports activities guide company, “it's going to paintings underneath the ambit of authority to allow the functioning of Noida stadium and manage various sports activities actions there.”
