COIMBATORE: Family members of a 34-year-old man, who died whilst cleansing a septic tank here on Thursday, met the Coimbatore district collector on Friday, challenging motion towards his contractors and loose schooling for his two youngsters.
Mahendran M, a resident of Cinthamani in R S Puram, left home at 5am to report back to paintings. The paintings included cleansing a septic tank at a space on the 100 Feet Road in Gandhipuram.
Around 12.30pm, his wife Karthika won a telephone name stating that her husband had fallen right into a septic tank and was “in a significant condition.”
“I won a decision from a man who claimed that he was running with my brother and mentioned that Mahendran’s condition was critical,” stated his elder brother Murthy.
However, when the family members rushed to the government health center to look Mahendran, they have been told that he were introduced dead.

“They simply filed a case of a man who died whilst cleansing a septic tank, without citing any accused in the case,” stated his wife Karthika. “How will the contractors learn a lesson if they don't seem to be punished? My situation must now not come to someone else. Why didn’t they take precautions,” she requested.
Aathi Thamizhar Peravai founder Adhiyaman, who met the district collector with the family members of Mahendran, demanded repayment for the family and loose schooling for his two youngsters. “That man was the sole bread winner for his family and it's the state executive’s fault that the program of scavenging and cleansing of septic tanks nonetheless exist. So, the government must compensate the family and deal with the kids’s schooling,” he stated.
“We call for that the activity contractor’s title be included in the FIR,” he stated.
