NEW DELHI: Talks between Delhi Metro Rail Corporation's non-executive staff, who're threatening to move on strike from June 30, and the DMRC failed to yield any effects on Thursday. For the last few days, DMRC's nine,000-strong personnel of non-executive staff has been collaborating in sit-in protests at other metro stations. Their primary demand is a revision of salaries and pay-grades and payment of arrears, apart from other demand like the proper to shape a union. The staff have given an ultimatum of June 29 and have threatened to close down metro services and products if their demands are not met.
“In reference to the HR issues touching on a piece of the employees, that is to inform that a assembly used to be held as of late on the place of work of Regional Labour Commissiothe control agreeing to talk on the issues raised by way of staff, it sort of feels the protesting staff have softened their stand. “Both events have to report on the place of work of Regional Labour Commissioner on Friday with the realization of the assembly expected to be held,” said Ravi Bharadwaj, secretary, DMRC workforce council.
