General Motors names Dhivya Suryadevara CFO

General Motors Co stated on Wednesday Dhivya Suryadevara, these days vice-president of company finance, will succeed Chuck Stevens on Sept. 1 as leader financial officer of the No. 1 US automaker.

Suryadevara, 39, has played an integral position in some important deals GM has made as it has restructured operations during the last several years, together with the divestiture of the corporate's European arm Opel and the purchase of self-driving automobile startup Cruise.
