NEW DELHI: A hitman of Chhenu Pehelwan gang sporting a reward of Rs 50,000 has been arrested. The shooter had performed 3 murders in Delhi-NCR and had several other cases of robberies and extortion in opposition to him.
DCP (northeast) Atul Kumar Thakur mentioned that the accused has been identified as Nadeem (32). He was arrested with a country-made pistol and two live cartridge from Brahmpuri house in northeast Delhi on Sunday night time. He is the cousin of gangster Chhenu Pehelwan.
Investigating officials mentioned that Nadeem was wanted in 3 homicide cases and one attempt-to-murder case and have been declared a proclaimed culprit by means of the courtroom. He used to work as a dairy farmer in Ghazipur but due to his short temper, used to get fascinated by fights which in the long run drove him in opposition to crime.
He was first arrested for abducting and confining his neighbour on the dairy in 2009. Later on, Nadeem, along with his brothers killed a person in Seelampur house in 2015 over a belongings dispute and then he fled away from the capital.
His whereabouts remained unknown till 2017, when his title cropped up in a series of murders and robberies in Meerut. There, Nadeem killed two other people while robbing them and critically injured some other in a identical incident. The UP police put a reward of Rs 50,000 on him to catch him.
Senior police officers mentioned that a data was received that Nadeem could be coming to fulfill his unwell mom on the time round Eid following which a trap was laid close to his space. He was trailed as he entered Delhi and therefore arrested.
